Onto Travel: How It Works

Booking with Onto works in three stages: you search and book a hotel directly on the platform, Onto keeps tracking that room's price after your booking is confirmed, and if a lower price appears before your cancellation window closes, Onto rebooks you automatically and refunds the difference - silently, without you having to do anything.
Step 1 - Search and book
You search a destination and dates the way you would on any hotel site. Onto aggregates rates from 100+ suppliers across India and international markets, and in most cases the price you see is identical to, or better than, the hotel's own direct rate - no coupon codes or specific payment cards required to get it. Payment is completed on Onto itself, through Razorpay.
Step 2 - Confirmation
Immediately after booking, you get all three of the standard confirmations: an email, a voucher, and an in-app confirmation. There's nothing extra to collect from a hotel front desk before you've even left home.
Step 3 - Automatic price tracking
This is the part most booking sites don't do. Once your stay is confirmed, Onto checks that room's price roughly two to three times a day, right up until your booking enters its non-cancellable window. If the price drops, Onto automatically rebooks the same stay at the new rate and refunds the difference to your account in real time - no notification to act on, no form to fill in, and no limit on how many times this can happen before your cutoff date.
If something goes wrong
If a hotel cancels on a confirmed guest, Onto compensates up to 5x the original booking value and immediately arranges a better stay for the traveller, rather than leaving them to sort it out.
